Welcome to Hifzly ("the App", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Hifzly, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. What Hifzly is

Hifzly is a mobile and web application for Quran memorization, offering spaced- repetition review, live follow recitation, and AI-assisted tajweed feedback. The App is provided as an educational aid — not as a substitute for study with a qualified teacher.

2. Your account

• You may use Hifzly anonymously, or sign in with Google for cross-device sync.
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Actions taken under your Google account are attributed to you.
• You can delete your account at any time through Settings or by emailing amadoukn@gmail.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Quran text datasets bundled with the App beyond personal use.
• Use automated tools or scrapers against our servers to spam feedback requests, flood endpoints, or abuse rate limits.
• Misuse the App to publish, distribute, or otherwise share content that is illegal, harmful, or infringing on others' rights.
• Attempt to access another user's account or circumvent authentication.

4. Content and Quran text

Quran text displayed in Hifzly is sourced from publicly available corpora (Quran.com, Madinah Mushaf QCF4 open fonts, and the Tanzil/Uthmani open text). We do not claim copyright over the Quran text. Audio recitations, when present, are streamed from third-party providers under their respective licenses.

Our app code, UI design, and derivative analytics (tajweed analyses, progress reports, and SRS scheduling) are the intellectual property of Hifzly's author.

5. AI tajweed feedback

AI Tajweed Check uses Google Gemini to analyze your recitation and provide feedback. This feedback is algorithmic and best-effort: it may not be perfectly accurate, and should be treated as a training aid — not a definitive tajweed ruling. For ijazah-level certification, always consult a qualified teacher.

6. Free service, offered as-is

Hifzly is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future with clear opt-in; existing features will remain available. The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind — we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, zero bugs, or 100% tajweed accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Privacy

Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. We request only the minimum Google OAuth scopes needed to identify you (openid email profile) and we never sell your data.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be notified inside the App before they take effect.

9. Termination

You may stop using Hifzly at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 3 (Acceptable Use).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the residence of the App's author. Any disputes not resolvable through good-faith communication may be settled under that jurisdiction.
